Stars

Clair tilted her head back and stared at the stars that were twinkling vibrantly in the night sky. There was something almost dream like about the atmosphere tonight she thought. Clair played with the idea in her head for a while until things went obscure:
There was a cat dangling from the moon. Then it got on it and all she could see was a colossal winking cat face. Then the cat face was gone. The cat began jumping from one star to another getting nearer to Clair with every leap.
The black and white feline landed next to her, it didn’t startle her somehow she sensed it would land next to her, she gazed into its eyes, they were like large saucers. ‘Hello,’ Said the cat politely. ‘What’s your name?’ it spoke again. ‘I’m Clair, what’s your name?’ she exclaimed anxiously. ‘I’m afraid I don’t know, perhaps you could name me?’
What an odd a thing Clair thought, a talking cat without a name. ‘I’ll name you star.’
Suddenly there was blackness all around her; Clair blinked a couple of times until some light came back. She looked around about her, the cat was gone and when she looked up at the sky the stars were gone too, all that remained was the fat intrusive moon.
